Morridion, the world of chaos. Magic undercurrents stream through the land, the ley stones restricting them shattered, granting those with the knowledge neigh unstoppable power, while rapidly mutating the wildlife and flora. The huge capitol city of Kalatch is in disarray, with it's many districts overflowing with those eager to escape the beast now roaming the country side. Tension is high with so many races being so close together, and old prejudice are reforged anew in the unrest and tension. The ports of Kalatch report news of trouble brewing on the distant seas, in the city of Sidil on the twin continent, the lack of trade between the cities taking it's toll and unrest growing. With the farms of both continents being overrun with bestial wildlife seeking blood, food shortages mean that riots have started breaking out in cities across the land.


Morridion is much like Earth, with similar weather patterns and climate. Morridion has two major continents, Umbra and Lumos, roughly the same size and shape, large and ovular, each only accounting for about 20% of the surface of Morridion. The shapes of the continents hug the equator of Morridion, each pole capped with sprawling ice lands, the Upper and the Lower. Between the two continents, a number of islands dot the ocean.

Morridion is a world of magic, power flowing through the land, the very lifeforce of Morridion itself. For as long as anyone can remember the lay stones restricted and contained these magical energies, preventing much of their power from being used and stopping them from being harnessed for any deeds too great, and the land has slept peacefully.

But now, the stones have shattered, though none know why, and the magic has set about reclaiming the land. Snaking outwards from the stones like blood circulating through arteries the magic is flowing back into the land, veins slithering outwards from them, forming a mesh of magic across the land once more. This sudden influx of magic means that the magic users of Morridion have risen to power, their influence having grown exponentially as their powers increase tenfold.

The sudden flux of magic has had a second and perhaps more adverse effect, the energies rapidly mutating and corrupting simple and otherwise harmless wildlife into blood-thirsty monsters, while transforming the already dangerous predators and stalkers of the night into demonesque and abominable creatures, ravaging countless hundreds.

Because of the danger presented by this new turn of events, many have fled to the cities to hide within the safety of it's walls, those still in the country taking cover indoors as night falls, praying to their gods to keep the fiends at bay. So many races being so close together, it is something that none of them are used to, and has created an intense tension in the cities, and in addition to the food shortage due to lack of produce from farms, it is little wonder that so many riots are breaking out.
